Change Motor Limit Switch
- Remove change motor from transfer case and secure in vise. Ensure no continuity exists between terminals "F" and "H".
- Turn change motor shaft clockwise with Change Motor Adapter (49-L017-302) and INCH lb. torque wrench until continuity is indicated between terminals "F" and "H". Allow shaft to turn counterclockwise and note torque when continuity is lost. Torque should be 22-43 INCH lbs. (2.5-4.9 N.m).
- Turn shaft counterclockwise as in step 2) and check for continuity and torque reading. See Fig 1
.
- Connect ohmmeter between terminals "E" and "H". Ensure no continuity exists. Turn change motor shaft clockwise with change motor adapter and torque wrench until continuity is indicated. Allow change motor to turn counterclockwise and note torque when continuity is lost. Torque should be 61-113 INCH lbs. (6.9-13 N.m).
- Turn change motor shaft counterclockwise as in step 4) and check for continuity and torque reading. If not as specified in step 4), replace change motor.
