OBD-II Drive Mode Description

OBD-II drive mode is a pattern of driving in which the PCM will execute the following OBD-II diagnostic monitors:

There are 2 types of drive modes; standard drive mode and individual system repair verification dive mode. Once a drive mode is started, engine must not be turned off. Drive mode can be used to cause a DTC to set if a fault is present or to verify that a DTC will not return after a repair has been completed.

NOTE: Rough road conditions may prevent certain steady state conditions and steady accelerations from validating transmission and load related monitors.
