Test No. 4
- Operate power seat, and check horizontal and vertical movement. If power seat does not operate properly, check seat track drive cables for deflection when control switch is operated. If cables deflect, repair or replace seat track assembly as necessary. If cables are tight, go to next step.
- With power seat control switch connected, check for voltage at Black/White wire terminal of control switch connector while operating switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If voltage is present, repair or replace seat track assembly as necessary. Check system operation. If voltage is not present, go to next step.
- Disconnect power seat control switch connector. Check continuity between Black wire terminal of power seat control switch connector and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If continuity does not exist, repair Black wire between power seat control switch and ground. Check system operation. If continuity exists, check for damaged connectors, or opens or shorts in power seat wiring circuits. Repair as necessary. Check power seat control switch. See CONTROL SWITCH TEST under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace power seat control switch as necessary.
