EGR Position Sensor
EGR position sensor is part of EGR valve. Disconnect EGR position sensor connector. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the EGR control valve. Measure resistance between the appropriate EGR position sensor terminals. Refer to the EGR POSITION SENSOR RESISTANCE table. See Fig 1 . Apply 5.9 in. Hg of vacuum to EGR position sensor and recheck resistance. If resistance is not as specified, replace EGR valve.
