System Operation

PCV valve is operated by intake manifold. When engine is running at idle, PCV valve is slightly open and a small amount of blowby gas is drawn into upper intake manifold to be reburned. PCV valve opens further as engine speed increases, allowing a larger amount of blowby gas to be drawn into upper intake manifold.
