Test No. 1
- Turn ignition on. Check POWER WIND fuse (30-amp) in joint box, near left kick panel. If fuse is blown, replace fuse (repair wiring if necessary). If fuse is good, go to next step.
- Measure voltage at White/Blue wire terminal of main switch connector. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair White/Blue wire between fuse and main switch.
- Disconnect main switch connector. Check continuity between ground and Black wire terminal of main switch connector. If continuity exists, reconnect main switch connector and go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair Black wire between ground and main switch.
- Measure voltage at indicated wire terminals of main switch connector with main switches in specified position. See POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH CIRCUIT TEST . If battery voltage exists at all terminals, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist at all terminals, check main switch. See MAIN SWITCH TEST under COMPONENT TESTS.
- Measure voltage at Red wire terminal of driver's window motor connector with driver's switch in UP position. Measure voltage at Green wire terminal of driver's window motor connector with driver's switch in DOWN position. If battery voltage does not exist at both terminals with switch in indicated position, repair wiring between main switch and window motor. If battery voltage exists at both terminals, check window motor, then proceed to next step. See WINDOW MOTOR TEST under COMPONENT TESTS.
- Measure voltage at Black/White wire terminal of sub-switch connector with main switch/passenger's in UP position. Measure voltage at Black/Yellow wire terminal of sub-switch connector with main switch/passenger's in DOWN position. If battery voltage exists at both terminals with switch in indicated position, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist at both terminals, repair wiring between main switch and sub-switch.
- Measure voltage at Red wire terminal of sub-switch connector with main switch/passenger's in UP position. Measure voltage at Green wire terminal of sub-switch connector with main switch/passenger's in DOWN position. If battery voltage exists at both terminals with switch in indicated position, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist at both terminals, check sub-switch. See SUB-SWITCH TEST under COMPONENT TESTS.
- Measure voltage at Red wire terminal of passenger's window motor connector with main switch/passenger's in UP position. Measure voltage at Green wire terminal of passenger's window motor connector with main switch/passenger's in DOWN position. If battery voltage exists at both terminals with switch in indicated position, check window motor. See WINDOW MOTOR TEST under COMPONENT TESTS. If battery voltage does not exist at both terminals, repair wiring between sub-switch and window motor.
