Abs-3: Open Dump Solenoid Circuit
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect ABS control module harness connector.
- Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between terminal "A" or terminal "B" of ABS control module harness connector and chassis ground. See Figure. If resistance is 1-3 ohms, replace ABS control module. If resistance is greater than 3 ohms, go to next step.
- Disconnect solenoid valve harness connector. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between dump solenoid terminal (Orange/Blue wire) and ground terminal (Black wire) of solenoid valve. See Figure.
- If resistance is 1-3 ohms, repair open in dump solenoid wire between solenoid valve and ABS control module. Check for dirty or loose terminals. If resistance is greater than 3 ohms, replace hydraulic unit.
