Section 176 (A/C-Heater System): Description

Major A/C-heater system components include a plate-fin evaporator core, accumulator-drier, fixed orifice tube and clutch cycling pressure switch. The evaporator case, attached to engine compartment firewall, contains evaporator core, accumulator-drier, blower motor and wheel, blower resistor, outside/recirculation door and vacuum motor, vacuum reservoir and vacuum wiring harness assemblies.
On passenger compartment side of firewall, plenum assembly attaches to the evaporator case. The plenum assembly contains the heat defrost door, temperature blend door, vent heat door, heater core and vacuum motor assemblies.
