Manual Bleeding

CAUTION: Check brake fluid level in master cylinder reservoir after bleeding each wheel position. Fill reservoir as necessary.

Attach one end of clear tube to bleeder at wheel cylinder or caliper. Place other end of tube in clean brake fluid in a suitable container. Have an assistant pump brake pedal 3-5 times and then hold pedal in depressed position. While pedal is depressed, open bleeder about 1/4 turn. Observe fluid and air passing through tube. Close bleeder and have assistant release pedal. Repeat procedure until no air is evident in fluid. Repeat procedure in sequence at each wheel until no air remains in hydraulic system. See BLEEDING SEQUENCE.
