Circuit Testing

NOTE: If both mirrors are inoperative, begin testing at step 1). If one mirror is inoperative, begin testing at step 3).
  1. Turn ignition on. Check FUSE PNL fuse. If fuse is blown, replace fuse (repair wiring if necessary). If fuse is okay, measure voltage at Light Green/Yellow wire terminal of power mirror switch connector. If battery voltage is not present, repair Light Green/Yellow wire between fuse and power mirror switch.
  2. If battery voltage is present, disconnect power mirror switch connector. Check continuity between ground and Black wire terminal of power mirror switch connector. If continuity does not exist, repair Black wire between power mirror switch and ground. If continuity exists, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect power mirror switch connector. Apply battery voltage between Yellow wire terminal and specified wire terminal of power mirror switch connector. See POWER MIRROR CIRCUIT TEST table. If power mirrors operate, replace power mirror switch. If power mirrors do not operate, check wiring between power mirror switch and power mirror motor. If wiring is okay, replace power mirror assembly.

Application & Movement Terminal
Left Mirror
UP/DOWN Dark Blue
LEFT/RIGHT Red
Right Mirror
UP/DOWN Purple
LEFT/RIGHT Dark Green
(1) Example: To move left mirror up and down, apply battery voltage between Yellow and Dark Blue wire terminals, then reverse polarity to move mirror in opposite direction.
