Power Window Switch

NOTE: Manufacturer only provides testing for 5-pin switch.
  1. Turn ignition off. Remove power window switch from armrest. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Use a self-powered test lamp or DVOM to test power window switch.
  2. Position switch so raised portion of rocker switch is to the right and you are looking at five terminals. With switch in NEUTRAL position, continuity should exist between terminal Nos. 1 and 2, and terminal Nos. 3 and 4. Terminal No. 5 should be disconnected from all other terminals. See Fig 1 .
  3. When raised portion of rocker switch is pushed (to raise window), continuity should exist between terminal Nos. 1 and 5, and terminal Nos. 3 and 4. Terminal No. 2 should be disconnected from all other terminals.
  4. When depressed portion of rocker switch is pushed (to lower window), continuity should exist between terminal Nos. 1 and 2, and terminal Nos. 4 and 5. Terminal No. 3 should be disconnected from all other terminals. Replace power window switch if it does not test as specified.
