Retrieving Codes
- Test drive vehicle. DO NOT turn ignition off. Locate Blue ABS 3-pin check connector in left side of engine compartment. Attach a jumper wire between terminal "C" (Yellow wire on B2200 and B2600i or Gray/White on MPV) of check connector and chassis ground. See Fig 1
. Disconnect jumper wire from chassis ground after one second. ABS warning light should begin to flash.
- A flashing pattern starts with a number of short flashes and ends with one long flash. Count all short flashes to identify malfunction. See DIAGNOSTIC CODES IDENTIFICATION table.
- The same flashing pattern will repeat until ignition is turned off. If more than one code is stored, only one fault code will be flashed. After fault has been repaired, any remaining code(s) will be flashed one by one.
- If a flashing pattern cannot be obtained, check brake fluid level and ABS fuse. Test ABS control unit and check for a grounded check connector lead. See COMPONENT TESTING under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
- After indicated fault has been corrected, test drive vehicle and recheck diagnostic system for other stored codes.
