Power Window Motor: Installation

  1. Position power window motor and drive onto regulator, and install three screws snug, not tight. Connect power window motor electrical connector, and cycle glass to ensure correct gear engagement. After gears are engaged, tighten motor and drive attaching screws to 50-84 INCH lbs. (5.6-9.6 N.m).
  2. Install the door trim panel and water shield. See DOOR TRIM PANEL & WATER SHIELD  . Appropriate plug buttons may be installed to cover exposed hole at trim panel edge, if necessary.
  3. Connect negative battery cable. Check drain holes at bottom of doors to ensure each is open to prevent water build-up over motor.
