ABS Warning Light
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect ABS control unit 18-pin connector. Turn ignition on. ABS warning light should illuminate. If ABS warning light illuminates, go to next step. If ABS warning light does not illuminate, check relay box and wiring harness between ABS warning light and relay box, and relay box and ground .
- If relay box and wiring harness are okay, disconnect relay box connector. ABS warning light should not illuminate. If ABS warning light does not illuminate, go to next step. If ABS warning light remains illuminated, check ABS warning light wiring harness for short to ground.
- Ground ABS control unit 18-pin connector terminal 2L (Blue/Yellow wire). ABS warning light should illuminate. If ABS warning light illuminates, go to next step. If ABS warning light does not illuminate, check bulb and wiring harness between instrument cluster and ABS control unit, and ABS control unit and relay box.
- Ground relay box connector terminal "H" (Blue/Yellow wire). ABS warning light should not illuminate. If ABS warning light illuminates, go to next step. If ABS warning light does not illuminate, check bulb and harness between instrument cluster and ABS control unit, and ABS control unit and relay box.
- Reconnect ABS control unit connector and check operation of ABS warning light. If ABS warning light does not illuminate, replace ABS control unit. Reconnect relay connector. Start engine. Replace ABS control unit if ABS warning light remains on and no trouble code is displayed.
