Anti-Theft Systems: Description

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
CAUTION: The system won't function unless it's armed. So when you leave the vehicle, lock all the doors, take your key, and make sure the security indicator light is flashing.

The theft-deterrent system is designed to prevent your vehicle or its contents from being stolen when all the doors, hood, and trunk lid are locked.

If forcible entry is attempted, the system sounds the horn and flashers the hazard warning lights and the headlights. It also makes the starter inoperable.
