System Test: PS-4

  1. Indicates failure of wiring harness (fuse box-to-control unit or control unit-to-ground). To test harness, turn ignition off. Disconnect control unit connector. Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter, measure voltage between terminal "E" (Black/Green wire) of control unit connector and body ground.
  2. If 12 volts is present, replace control unit. If 12 volts is not present, replace METER fuse or repair wiring harness between fuse box and control unit or control unit and ground.
  3. Measure voltage between terminal "D" (Black wire) of control unit connector and body ground. If zero volt is present, replace control unit. If zero volt is not present, replace METER fuse or repair wiring harness between fuse box and control unit or control unit and ground.
