Test A: Driver's Window Inoperative

  1. Disconnect the connector from the power window switch.
  2. Using a voltmeter, measure the voltage between the (B/R) terminal and the body ground with the ignition switch ON. See Fig 1

  3. If there is no voltage, check the fuse or repair the wiring harness. If voltage is okay, go to next step.
  4. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity of the ground connection between the (B) terminal and body ground. Continuity should exist. If continuity is okay, go to next step.
  5. Use an ohmmeter to check for continuity of the switch terminals. See Fig 2 and Fig 3 . When testing switches, switch the power window cut switch to ON.
  6. If continuity is not as specified, replace the power window switch.
