Output Signals
NOTE:
Vehicles are equipped with different combinations of computer-controlled components. Not all components listed below are used on every vehicle. For theory and operation on each output component, refer to system indicated in parenthesis after component.
The ECU processes information from the input sensors and sends appropriate voltage control signals to the following engine controls:
- By-Pass Air Control (BAC) Valve Solenoid (Idle Speed)
- Check Engine Light (Self-Diagnostics)
- Coil With Ignitor Assemblies (Ignition System)
- Fuel Injectors (Fuel System)
- Secondary Air Injection System Solenoids (Emission Systems)
- Turbocharger Control (Air Induction System)
- Variable Dynamic Effect Intake (VDI) Solenoid (Air Induction System)
- 6-Port Induction (6PI) Solenoid (Air Induction System)
