Leading Side Coil

Disconnect negative battery cable. Connect ohmmeter to appropriate terminals to check coil resistance. See Fig 1 . Replace coil if resistance is not .2-1.0 ohm.

CAUTION: During testing procedure, ensure high tension leads remain connected to coil. Disconnecting of high tension leads may cause high voltage sparks. Ensure battery if fully charged.
