Leading Side Coil

Disconnect negative battery cable. Connect ohmmeter to proper terminals. See Fig 1. Note coil resistance. Replace coil if resistance is not below one ohm.

CAUTION: During testing procedure, ensure high tension leads remain connected to coil. Disconnecting of high tension leads may cause high voltage sparks. Ensure battery if fully charged.
