Air Cleaner - Thermostatic: Description

The Thermostatic Air Cleaner system controls the temperature of the air entering the carburetor depending on outside air temperature. On B2200 models, thermostatic air cleaner system consists of air cleaner housing, bi-metal control valve, flexible air hose, and heat stove.

On B2600 models, thermostatic air cleaner system consists of air cleaner, vacuum diaphragm, control valve, hot air duct, heat stove and thermosensor.

A control valve, controlled by air temperature, opens to allow warm air from heat stove to mix with fuel. This assists in engine warm up, better combustion and emission control.
