Arming Code 1

Armed is set. This is the Dead, Initial, Pre-arming and Arming phase. Ignition switch is on. "DOOR" is open and unlocked. Disconnect control unit connector.

  1. Check operation of ignition switch. Turn ignition switch ON. Check voltage between "A" and "J". With ignition switch ON there should be 12 Volts and with it "OFF" there should be 0 Volts. If this is ok, go to step 2. If this is not ok, there is a faulty ignition switch or faulty ignition switch circuit.
  2. Check "DOOR" switch operation. Interior light switch "DOOR". All doors are closed. Check voltage between "H" and "J" by opening doors one by one. There should be 0 Volts when door is open and 12 Volts when it is closed. Check voltage between "K" and "J" by opening and closing rear hatch with luggage compartment switch ON. With rear hatch open there should be 0 Volts and with it closed there should be 12 Volts. Check for continuity between "L" and "J" by opening hood. With hood open, there should be continuity. With hood closed, there should be no continuity. If this is ok, go to step 3. If this is not ok, there is a faulty "DOOR" switch,"DOOR" switch circuit, "DOOR" switch and door alignment.
  3. Check "DOOR" lock link switch operation. Lock doors and check for continuity between "F" and "J" by locking and unlocking each door. When door is locked there should be no continuity and when unlocked there should be continuity. If this is ok, go to step 4. If this is not ok, there is a faulty "LOCK LINK" switch, "LOCK LINK" switch circuit, "LOCK LINK" switch alignment.
  4. If everything mentioned above is ok, the control unit is faulty.
