Alarm Code 1

This is the Arming Phase-Arming. Ignition switch is off. "DOORS" locked and closed. Pre-arming phase period is finished. Disconnect control unit connector.

  1. Check ignition switch key operation. Check voltage between "A" and "J" (Ignition Switch). There should be 12 Volts with ignition switch ON and 0 Volts with it OFF. If this is not ok, there is a faulty ignition switch or ignition switch circuit. Check voltage between "B" and "J" (key reminder switch). With ignition switch switched ON to OFF there should be 12 Volts and with key removed there should be 0 Volts. If this is not ok, there is a faulty ignition switch or ignition switch circuit. If this is ok, go to step 2.
  2. Check "DOOR" switch operation. Interior light switch "DOOR". All doors are closed. Check voltage between "H" and "J" by opening doors one by one. With door open there should be 0 Volts and with it closed there should be 12 Volts. If this is not ok, there is at least one of the following that is faulty: "DOOR" switch,"DOOR" switch circuit, "DOOR" switch and door alignment. Check voltage between "K" and "J" by opening and closing rear hatch with luggage compartment switch ON. With rear hatch open there should be 0 Volts and with it closed there should be 12 Volts. If this is not ok, there is at least one of the following that is faulty: "DOOR" switch,"DOOR" switch circuit, "DOOR" switch and door alignment. Check for continuity between "L" and "J" by opening hood. With hood open, there should be continuity. With hood closed, there should be no continuity. If this is ok, go to step 3. If this is not ok, there is at least one of the following that is faulty: "DOOR" switch,"DOOR" switch circuit, "DOOR" switch and door alignment.
  3. Check for "DOOR" lock link switch operation. Lock front doors. Check for continuity between "F" and "J" by locking and unlocking each door. With door locked, there should be no continuity. With door unlocked, there should be continuity. If this is ok, go to step 4. If this is not ok, there is at least one of the following that is faulty: "LOCK LINK" switch, "LOCK LINK" switch circuit, "LOCK LINK" switch alignment.
  4. If everything mentioned above is ok, the control unit is faulty.
