Temperature Gauge
- If temperature gauge needle does not move at all, check for blown fuse or loose harness connector. If fuel gauge is also inoperative, inspect instrument voltage regulator.
- Disconnect sending unit connector wire. Connect ohmmeter to connector wire and ground.
- Use TEMPERATURE GAUGE RESISTANCE table to check gauge reading. Turn ignition switch to "ON" position and ensure that needle position corresponds to resistance measurement. SeeFig 1 .
- Allow 2 minutes for needle to stabilize. Allowable limit of needle deflection is twice the width of the needle. If gauge readings are not as shown in tables, replace sending unit.
