Throttle Cable: 323

  1. Remove left side splash shield near left front tire. Remove lower pressure port plug (square head) on 323. Install oil pressure gauge to proper port. See Fig 1.
  2. Move gearshift lever to the "P" position. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Ensure engine is at normal idle speed specifications. Check throttle pressure reading at this time.
  3. If throttle pressure reading is not 63-66 psi (4.4-4.6 kg/cm2 ), adjustment of throttle cable is necessary. With engine running, loosen both adjustments nuts and adjust throttle cable until oil pressure reading is within specifications. See Fig 2.
  4. Tighten throttle cable lock nuts when pressure is within specification. Turn engine off and remove oil pressure gauge. Install pressure port plug and tighten to 43-87 INCH lbs. (5-10 N.m). Install left side splash shield.
