Fuel Injectors: Removal

CAUTION: Allow engine to cool before removing fuel hose. Cover the hose connection with a shop towel because fuel will be sprayed out under pressure when hose is disconnected.
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Relieve pressure by removing fuel hose from fuel filter. Unplug electrical connectors from injectors.
  2. Remove pressure regulator. Remove 2 bolts attaching fuel distribution pipe to intake manifold. Remove fuel distribution pipe, grommets, injectors and regulator.
