Axle Ratio Identification

NOTE: All Mazda models use one basic type of rear axle assembly. Any differences in servicing procedures will be noted where they occur.

Axle ratio is 3.91:1 (4.08:1 on models equipped with EGI system). To manually determine axle ratio, divide number of ring gear teeth by number of pinion teeth.
