Slow Fuel Cut System: Notes

  1. Ensure engine is at normal operating temperature. Run engine at idle speed. Unplug neutral switch connector. Connect positive voltmeter lead to Lt. Green terminal of connector. Connect negative lead to ground. Reading should be below 1.5 volts. See Fig 1 .

  2. Connect tachometer to engine. Raise engine speed to 3100 RPM and decelerate engine rapidly. During deceleration, voltmeter should read about 12 volts above 2000 RPM, and less than 1.5 volts below 2000 RPM.
