Fast Idle Speed

  1. Warm engine to operating temperature and set idle speed. Remove the air cleaner and plug the idle compensator, thermo-sensor and reed valve hoses.
  2. While holding the throttle valve slightly open, close the choke valve. Release the choke valve after releasing the throttle. Start the engine but do not touch the accelerator pedal.
  3. Engine speed should be between 3000-4000 RPM. If not, turn fast idle adjusting screw.
