Neutral Switch (A/T)

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Apply service brake and parking brake. Start engine and operate at idle. Disconnect electrical connector from switch. Connect ohmmeter to switch terminals.
  2. Continuity should exist when transmission is in Neutral and no continuity should exist in any other gear position. Replace neutral switch, if it does not operate as outlined.
