3-Way Solenoid Valve

  1. On GLC wagons, the valve is located on the right hand side of the firewall to the right of the vehicle identification plate.
  2. Disconnect the 3-way solenoid-to-servo diaphragm sensing hose from the servo diaphragm. Disconnect the 3-way solenoid-to-intake manifold from the 3-way solenoid.
  3. Disconnect the Blue wire on GLC wagons. Ground the solenoid valve using a jumper wire. Connect 12V to other terminal. Blow air through the solenoid valve-to-servo diaphragm hose. Air should come out of the valve air filter.
  4. Disconnect 12V from solenoid valve. Air blown through the solenoid valve-to-servo diaphragm hose should now come out of the intake manifold port. See Fig 1 .
