1979 Models

  1. Disconnect altitude compensator hose from carburetor hose fitting. Start and run engine at specified idle speed. On automatic transmission equipped models, place selector lever in Neutral.
  2. Plug altitude compensator hose opening with finger and check that engine speed RPM drops as specified. See Figure. Engine speed varies according to altitude.
