Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The externally controlled variable displacement compressor is electronically controlled by the PCM. For additional information, refer to externally controlled variable displacement compressor. REFER to: Climate Control System - System Operation and Component Description .
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

| P06A0 | Variable A/C Compressor Control Circuit | This DTC sets when the PCM senses greater than expected voltage on the sensor feedback circuit, indicating a short to voltage or an open circuit or an open sensor. |

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks
- Inspect for loose or corroded PCM and A/C compressor connections.
- Make sure BJB fuse 36 (10A) is OK.
