Diagnostic Overview 

Diagnostics in this article assume a certain skill level and knowledge of Ford-specific diagnostic practices. REFER to: Diagnostic Methods .

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

The APIM communicates with the scan tool through the HS-CAN and communicates with the other modules through the MS-CAN (Sony audio system) and I-CAN.

Possible Sources 

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks 

Verify BCM fuse 67 (7.5A) is OK.
