Diagnostic Overview 

Diagnostics in this article assume a certain skill level and knowledge of Ford-specific diagnostic practices. REFER to: Diagnostic Methods .

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

The FCDIM communicates with the scan tool through the MS-CAN. The IPC is used as the gateway module.

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks 

Verify Body Control Module (BCM) fuse 67 (7.5A) is OK.
