Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

With the ignition ON, the SASM sends messages to the SECM communicate over a private CAN. If the SECM does not receive these messages within a certain time frame, the SECM sets a DTC.

SECM DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
U0126:00 Lost Communication With Steering Angle Sensor Module: No Sub Type Information Sets when the SECM detects any of the SASM messages is missing. This can be due to a SASM failure, a circuit failure on the HS-CAN2 or an excessive load on the network.
