Air Conditioning: Notes

The A/C system components include the following:

• Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor - Externally Controlled Variable Displacement Compressor (EVDC)
• A/C compressor clutch and clutch field coil
• A/C pressure transducer
• Condenser core
• Connecting refrigerant lines
• Evaporator core (part of the heater core and evaporator core housing)
• Evaporator temperature sensor (part of the heater core and evaporator core housing)
• Receiver drier desiccant bag (3.7L Ti-VCT engine)
• Receiver drier (2.0L/3.5L GTDI engine)
• TXV
• The PCM monitors multiple temperature sensors correlation (AAT, CHT, ECT IAT, MAF, MAP (as equipped)) as part of the A/C compressor clutch engagement strategy
