Selector Lever Cable: Installation
- Position the selector lever cable, connect the selector lever cable to the TRCM and install the selector lever cable clip and bolt.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
- Connect the selector lever retainers.

- Move the slide to the left.
- While holding the slide, position the adjuster lock upward.
- Using the diagnostic scan tool select the cable adjustment mode.

NOTE: The D must be illuminated on the GSM display.
- Press D on the GSM.

NOTE: Verify D is illuminated on the IPC.
- Rotate the manual control lever clockwise until it stops.
- Rotate the manual control lever counterclockwise one detent.
- Install the selector lever cable clip and the bolt.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)

NOTE: To prevent selector lever cable damage, do not apply force to the selector lever cable between the manual control lever and the selector lever cable bracket.
Connect the selector lever cable to the transmission manual lever.

NOTE: After locking the adjuster, pull back on the selector lever cable end to make sure it is securely installed.
Lock the adjuster.
- Press P on the GSM.
- Clear the DTCs.
- Shift the transmission through the ranges starting in P, then R, then N, then D, then N, then R and then back to P.
- Check for DTCs.
- Disconnect the scan tool.
- Install the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner 2.0L EcoBoost .
- Install the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe 2.3L EcoBoost .
- Verify that the vehicle starts in P and N only and that the reverse lamps illuminate in R.
- Release the parking brake.
