Brake Shift Interlock Actuator Manual Override

Activation 

1. NOTE: This vehicle is equipped with a brake shift interlock feature that prevents the vehicle from being moved out of P when the ignition is in the ON position until the brake pedal is applied.

   Proceed with this procedure if the vehicle cannot be moved out of the P position when the ignition is in the ON position and the brake pedal is applied. Check for BSIA DTC. If BSIA DTC are present, Refer to: External Controls  .

2. Apply the parking brake.

3. Open the console door.

4. NOTE: When the GSM flashes, the vehicle is in override mode.

   Using a small screwdriver, press and hold the brake shift interlock override switch.

   1. While holding the brake shift interlock override switch, press the N button on the GSM.
6. Close the console door.

7. Release the parking brake.
