Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The RCM continuously monitors the third row left seatbelt buckle sensor circuits for the following faults:
- Open circuit
- Short to voltage
- Short to ground
- Current out of range
- Faulted third row left seatbelt buckle sensor
If a fault is detected, the RCM stores DTC B140E:11, B140E:12, B140E:13 or B140E:1D in memory. A faulted third row left seatbelt buckle sensor or a fault on the third row left seatbelt buckle sensor circuits does not illuminate the airbag warning indicator.
PPT BL RCM DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| B140E:11 | Third Row Driver Side Seatbelt Sensor: Circuit Short to Ground | Sets when the RCM senses a short to ground from the third row left seatbelt buckle sensor circuit for more than 6 seconds. |
| B140E:12 | Third Row Driver Side Seatbelt Sensor: Circuit Short to Battery | Sets when the RCM senses a short to voltage from the third row left seatbelt buckle sensor circuit for more than 6 seconds. |
| B140E:13 | Third Row Driver Side Seatbelt Sensor: Circuit Open | Sets when the RCM senses an open from either third row left seatbelt buckle sensor circuit for more than 6 seconds. |
| B140E:1D | Third Row Driver Side Seatbelt Sensor: Circuit Current Out of Range | Sets when the RCM measures current outside of an acceptable range from the third row left seatbelt buckle sensor circuit for more than 6 seconds. |
