Sunload Sensor: Removal

Expedition, Expedition EL vehicles 

• 1.
  
  Remove the sunload sensor.
  • Detach the sunload sensor from the instrument panel.
  • Disconnect sunload electrical connector and remove the sunload sensor.

Navigator, Navigator L vehicles 

• 2.
  
  Remove the Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM). Refer to, Information and Entertainment Systems - AM/FM/CD , Information and Entertainment Systems - 4.2-Inch (107 mm) Screen, AM/FM CD Sync , Information and Entertainment Systems - Sony Audio System or Information and Entertainment Systems - THX Audio System .

• 3.
  
  Remove the defroster grille panel.

• 4.
  
  Remove the instrument panel center bezel.
  • Remove the screws and position aside instrument panel center bezel.
  • Disconnect the sunload sensor electrical connector.
  • Remove the instrument panel center bezel.
  • Tighten to 2.5 Nm (23 lb-in).

  Remove the sunload sensor.
