Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

The HVAC control module communicates with the BCM over the MS-CAN. If the data from the BCM are missing for 5 seconds or more, the HVAC control module sets a DTC. For a complete list of all network messages, refer to Module Communications Network .

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

DTC	Description	Fault Trigger Conditions
U0140:00	Lost Communication With Body Control Module: No Sub-Type Information	The DTC sets in continuous memory in the HVAC control module if data messages received from the Body Control Module (BCM) over the Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN) are missing for 5 seconds or more.
