Pinpoint Test K : Load Shed Message Displays In Message Center: Notes

Refer to Power Distribution/BCM , for schematic and connector information.

Normal Operation 

When the engine is off and the key is in on or accessory mode, and the BCM determines the battery state of charge is below 50%, or 45 minutes have elapsed, a load shed message is sent over the CAN. This message turns off the audio/navigation system to save the remaining battery charge. Under this condition the a load shed message will be displayed to notify the driver that battery protection actions are active:
