Seat Backrest Front: Installation

1.

Position the backrest assembly to the seat track and start the 4 recliner-to-seat track bolts by hand.

2.

Tighten the 4 recliner-to-seat track bolts.
1. 1.
  
  Tighten the rear outboard bolt to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
1. 2.
  
  Tighten the rear inboard bolt to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
1. 3.
  
  Tighten the front inboard bolt to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
1. 4.
  
  Tighten the front outboard bolt to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).

3.

Connect the seat backrest wiring and Active Motion® hoses (if equipped) under the seat cushion.
1. 1.
  
  Route wire harness(es) and Active Motion® hoses (if equipped) through the hole in the carpet flap toe-kick, connect the hoses.
1. 2.
  
  Connect the side air bag electrical connector and retainer.
1. 3.
  
  Connect the seat backrest electrical connector and retainer.

4.

Attach the cushion trim cover to the back of the recliner at the outboard side.

5.

Install the seat cushion side shield to the seat cushion.
1. 1.
  
  Engage the cushion side shield retainers to the seat cushion.
1. 2.
  
  Install the pushpin and scrivet at the rear of the cushion side shield.
1. 3.
  
  Install the screw at the front of the cushion side shield.

6.

Connect the seat control electrical connectors and attach the wire harness pin-type retainer.

Attach the pin-type retainers and the backrest trim cover.

8.

Install the recliner cover in the following sequence.
1. 1.
  
  Slide the hook over the recliner cover.
1. 2.
  
  Install the recliner cover screw.
1. 3.
  
  Install the recliner cover scrivet.

9.

Attach the carpet flap toe-kick J-clips to the cushion frame.

10.

Install the front seat. Refer to Seat - Front .
