- Apply the parking brake.

NOTE: Damage to the floor console rear trim panel may occur if cardboard is not used to remove the lower floor console side trim panel.NOTE: Position a piece of cardboard between the LH and RH lower floor console side trim panels and the floor console. Remove the RH and LH lower floor console side trim panel and cardboard simultaneously.

NOTE: The ambient light is located at the front of selector lever trim panel.
If equipped, remove the ambient light from the floor console.

- Disconnect the LH side selector lever trim panel electrical connector.
- Disconnect the RH side selector lever trim panel electrical connector.

NOTE: The ambient light is located at the front of selector lever trim panel.
If equipped, remove the ambient light from the floor console.

- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Adjust the selector lever cable. For additional information, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTMENT - 6F35 or SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTMENT - 6F50/6F55 .
