Audio Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Module

The audio DSP  module enhances the audio input signal sound quality from the ACM  . The audio DSP  module requires PMI  when it is replaced.

The audio DSP  module is enabled through software. Additionally, the ACM  can mute the audio DSP  module through the mute/unmute circuit. If the audio DSP  module detects less than 3.5 volts on the mute/unmute circuit, it mutes the speaker output. As a result, an open or short to ground in the mute/unmute circuit causes the audio system to produce no sound, because the enable signal does not reach the audio DSP  module.
