Selector Lever Cable: 6F35: Removal

All vehicles 

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
2. Remove the air cleaner. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .
3. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .

4. Disconnect the selector lever cable end from the manual control lever.

5. Release the 2 tabs, remove the selector lever cable from the selector lever cable bracket and position the cable aside.

6. Remove the battery tray. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
NOTE: Slide the locking tab upwards to unlock the electrical connector.

7. Disconnect the TCM electrical connector.
8. Disconnect the 3 battery cable pin-type retainers from the TCM bracket.

9. Remove the TCM bracket nut, TCM and bracket.

10. Disconnect the selector lever cable end from the manual control lever.

11. Release the 2 tabs, remove the selector lever cable from the selector lever cable bracket and position the cable aside.

12. Remove the floor console. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .
13. Remove the 2 nuts from the grommet, route the selector lever cable from the engine compartment through the floor and remove the selector lever cable from the passenger compartment.
