Cruise Control

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2011 Lincoln MKT. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The cruise control system consists of the following components:

The cruise control system is controlled by the PCM. The cruise control system is designed to maintain a selected vehicle speed between 37 km/h (23 mph) and the maximum limited vehicle speed. The cruise control system is controlled by the steering wheel mounted switches (ON, OFF, SET+, SET-, and RESUME) and the brake pedal. The steering wheel mounted switches are hardwired to the PCM. During normal driving, the vehicle speed may vary slightly from the set speed due to road conditions. The vehicle speed may fluctuate when driving up and down a steep hill. If the vehicle speed decreases more than 16 km/h (10 mph) below the set speed, the cruise control disengages.

When a My Key™ is in use and My Key™ max speed limiter is turned on, vehicle speed cannot be set to exceed 130 km/h (80 mph).
