Component testing procedure

ILLUMINATION DIMMER SWITCH - COMPONENT TESTING

Circuit to test Connect self-powered test light or ohmmeter to terminals Move switch to these positions A good switch will indicate
Interior lamps circuit 2 and 4 Dome defeat Closed circuit
Off Open circuit
4 and 5 Dome Closed circuit
Off Open circuit
Illumination dimmer resistor 4 and 6 Rotate wheel Ohmmeter will show smoothly increasing/decreasing resistance
