Selector Lever Cable: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the selector lever bezel. For additional information, refer to SELECTOR LEVER BEZEL  and SELECTOR LEVER KNOB .
  3. Disconnect the selector lever cable end from the selector lever.

  4. Depress the 2 tabs and remove the selector lever cable from the selector lever.

  5. Remove the LH floor console finish panel to access the cable retainer and rubber grommet.

  6. Disconnect the selector lever cable retainer from the center counsel and route the cable out from under the heater housing.

  7. Remove the nuts from the rubber grommet at the bulkhead.

  8. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.

  9. Disconnect the engine breather from the Air Cleaner (ACL) assembly.

  10. Remove the 2 ACL  assembly bolts.

  11. Loosen the ACL  outlet pipe clamp at the Throttle Body (TB) and remove the ACL  and ACL  outlet pipe assembly.

  12. Disconnect the selector lever cable retainer from the brake tube bracket.

  13. Disconnect the selector lever cable end from the manual control lever.

  14. Depress the 2 tabs, remove the selector lever cable from the bracket and remove the selector lever cable.
